What to do on a Saturday…

For the first time in months we had a Saturday with nothing planned! So I of course thought we were going to spend it relaxing as a family…silly me! :) Here’s some pictures & a video of what Micah thought would be a fun Saturday activity for the family:

This tall tree in our front yard was apparently growing into the other trees & needed to be removed.
  
Logan & Alexa had fun watching Daddy up in the tree :)
Grandpa Schouten came to help Daddy cut the tree down ~ Grandpa would drive the skid-loader with the chain attached to the tree branch that Daddy was cutting & together they’d cut & pull each branch down
 
After all the branches were cut down they hauled the big branches to a pile next to the driveway so they could cut them up & load them in the truck

   
After lunch Grandpa returned with helpers (aka: Grandma, Aunt Jill, Aunt Jena, & Aunt Kiley)
In no time at all they managed to get the whole mess of branches cleaned up.
Then Uncle Eric showed up to collect the fire wood :) ~ he worked really hard at it :)

It was a happy sight to see the last truck full of branches drive away :)
